Desks for electronic stock brokerage

Assignment
Stock exchange and banks use more and more TFT display fitted broker desks. Due to very flat screens, the overall dimensions of the deks are reduced, thus resulting in less space underneath, insufficient to take traditional A/C units. Furthermore, the heat loads produced by devices Back Back Back Back to top of page of page of page of page of the desks are not considered by conventional recirculating air A/C units since these units are designed to only recirculate the air underneath the desks.

Solution
In cooperation with Desk concept, LTG has developed a very flat fan coil unit, type VKT, in its air flow lab fitting into the partition wall between two opposite desks. At minimum speed, the indoor air is sucked in through large-surface filters in the door´s substructure where it is mixed with the heated exhaust air of the PCs. VKT sucks in this heated air, cools it to a few degrees below the room temperature and again blows it out upwards from the desk´s top.

Advantage
The space in the substructure is now completely available to take the PC which results in smaller desks. The highly efficient fan coil unit also contributes to cooling the screens and the room air. Thermal comfort and room air flow meet DIN 1946/2 requirements.
